Screen mirroring from a Dell laptop to TV is no doubt the most common case, whatever you want to give a presentation or share media. The process can be very easy if your TV is Miracast-supported.

Miracast is a wireless display standard for screen mirroring across devices which is commonly applied in Android devices, Windows PCs, smart TVs, and others. With it the devices connect directly to each other.

Method 1:Use the built-in casting feature in Dell

Before starting, please check these two things first:

• Is your TV built to be compatible with Miracast?

You can look at the TV’s user manual or product specifications. Then, search for Miracast, Wireless Display, or Screen Mirroring features to see if the term is mentioned.

Overall, TVs made by LG, Samsung, Sony, and Vizio are Miracast-compatible.

• Are all your devices connected to the same network?

Just check in the network setting menu. This will affect whether your devices can connect to each other and cast successfully.

Step 1. On your Dell laptop, go to Settings > System > Display > Multiple displays > Connect to a wireless display.

Step 2. Click Connect.

Step 3. As the pop-up window appears at the bottom right corner, click the TV name in the Available displays.

Method 2: Use Google Chrome browser

This method requires a Chromecast-compatible TV. Here, I will start with setting up the Chromecast device.

Still, your Dell laptop and TV should be in the same Wi-Fi.

Step 1. Open Chrome browser on your laptop. Then click the three-dot > Cast, save, and share > Cast.

Step 2. Plug the pre-purchased Chromecast dongle to your TV’s HDMI input.

Step 3. Install Google Home app on your phone.

Step 4. Scan the QR code showing on the TV via Google Home app. Then finish the subsequent configuration on your phone.

Step 5. When you finish setting Chromecast, the browser will automatically search for available devices.

How to Cast iPhone/Android to Dell Laptop?

Use Kingshiper Screen Mirroring

Step 1. Download and install the Kingshiper app on your phone.

You can find it on Google Play Store. And, iPhone users do not need to install the mobile app.

Step 3. Remember to use the same network on all the devices.
