People seem to have found solutions other than Discord itself.
OBS Studio is a free and open-source tool for streaming needs. It has high compatibility with Discord - the OBS Virtual Camera can be added as a default camera in Discord’s Video Settings. Thus, if you want to mirror camera on Discord, OBS is an ideal solution.
