How to Stream Hulu on Discord & Screen Share: 4 Ways

I'll show you four methods for streaming Hulu on Discord, covering the official Watch Party feature, screen mirroring tools, and wireless connection options.

1. Using Hulu Watch Party

Step 1. Open hulu.com on the Chrome broswer and log into your Hulu account.

Step 2. Select the movie you want to play. Click the Watch Party icon on the page.

Step 3. You will see the chain icon in the upper right corner. Click it and get the link to share.

Reopen the link in Chrome.

Step 4. Open Discord on the browser.

Step 5. After selecting a voice channel, click the screen share icon in the bottom left hand.

Step 6. In the window, select the tab of the shared Hulu video. Then, click Share.

2. Using Chrome with Discord Desktop

This method is only available for Discord Desktop software. During the process, you will need to add the Chrome browser as a Registered Game.

To avoid a black screen，please turn off hardware acceleration on Chrome and Discord.

Step 1. Launch Discord on your computer. Then go to User Settings > Activity Settings > Registered Games > Add it > Select Chrome > Add Game.

Step 2. Back to the voice channel. Click the screen share icon.

Step 3. Select Hulu in the pop-up window.

Step 4. Click Go Live to start streaming.

Step 5. Visit hulu.com on the browser.

Now you can watch Hulu videos on Discord.

3. Using Screen Mirroring Tool

If you have a Hulu mobile app installed and want to stream from the mobile to Discord, you can utilize a screen mirroring software.

For instance, you can start as follows:

Step 1. Install Kingshiper Screen Mirroring in your PC and mobile device.

Step 2. Open the app and enable the USB debugging mode.

Step 3. Use a cable to connect your phone and PC.

Step 4. Go to Device List in Kingshiper desktop software. Then, click Connect.

Step 5. When your phone screen is mirroring, open the Hulu app.

Step 6. Click the screen share button on Discord.

Step 7. Select Windows - choose the phone screen window.

In this way, you can stream the Hulu app's content on Discord.

4. Using OBS Studio

Although it rarely happens, you can stream Hulu from your smart TV to Discord.

Connections

Step 1. Hulu Device to Capture Card

Connect an HDMI cable from your Hulu device (Roku, Apple TV, or smart TV) to the capture card’s HDMI input.

Step 2. Capture Card to TV (Passthrough)

Connect another HDMI cable from the capture card’s HDMI output to your TV.

This allows you to watch Hulu on your TV while simultaneously capturing the signal.

Step 3. Capture Card to PC

Use a USB (preferably 3.0) cable to connect the capture card to your PC.

Software Setup

Step 4. Install OBS Studio

Download and install OBS Studio on your PC.

Configure the basic settings.

• In the "Sources" panel, click the "+" button and select "Video Capture Device."
• Give the source a name (e.g., "Capture Card").
• In the device dropdown, select your HDMI capture card.
• Configure the resolution and frame rate to match your TV's output (usually 1080p or 720p).

Step 5. Streaming to Discord

Open Discord and join a voice channel.

Click the "Screen Share" icon.

Select the OBS Studio window displaying your captured TV feed. Click "Go Live."
