Pokémon GO has captivated millions of players around the world, offering a blend of augmented reality and adventure. Niantic, the creator of Pokémon GO, initially designed the game for mobile platforms. However, Due to some reasons, such as broken phones or regional restrictions, some players prefer using a computer for gaming.
The question is: can you?
Although the official did not provide Pokémon GO for computer, you can enjoy it with several methods. The article explores how to play Pokémon GO with PC. Keep reading!
One of the most popular and feasible methods to play Pokémon GO on computer is to use Android emulators, for example, BlueStacks, Nox Player, or LDPlayer. They simulate a mobile environment on your computer, allowing you to run mobile apps right on your PC.
After you choose an emulator, you can start as follows. I will use BlueStacks as a demonstration here.
Go to the official BlueStacks website and download BlueStacks. The software is available for Windows and Mac devices.
Minimum OS: Windows 7
Recommended OS: Windows 10 and above; Apple’s M1, M2, M3, and M4 chips.
Once BlueStacks is installed, open it. You can see a search bar at the top of the interface. Search for Pokémon GO.
Log in with your Google account, then download and install the app.
PGSharp (Pokémon GO Spoofer): it is a modified version of Pokémon GO that includes built-in spoofing features. You can find it on browser. To use it, you can drag the downloaded APK file to the BlueStacks to automatically install PGSharp.
Besides, spoofing apps allow you to change your GPS location, enabling you to access and catch region-specific Pokémon that are otherwise unavailable in your area.
By this time, you can open PoGo on your computer. A mobile-screen window will show up.
Screen mirroring is an alternative method. It allows you to project your smartphone’s display onto your Windows computer, letting you enjoy Pokémon GO on a larger screen.
Kingshiper is one of the ideal tools. It supports mirroring from Android and iOS to Windows.
Steps are quite easy.
Download Kingshiper Screen Mirroring on your PC. Then, go to Google Play Store to install the mobile app, or you can visit the official website to download the APK file.
Open Kingshiper and you can see options like Android Mirror, iOS Mirror, and USB Mirror-Control.
(Note: iPhone users do not need to install the mobile app. Instead, the built-in screen mirroring feature that is in the Control Center will be used.)
Kingshiper is able to control your phone from computer. However, this feature only support Android OS and requires an USB connection.
a. Tap Enable USB Debugging on your Android phone.
b. Then, use a cable to connect the phone and the PC.
c. When a pop-up window asks to allow USB debugging, choose “Always allow from this computer” and tap “OK”.
d. On your PC, go to Device List > Refresh > select the phone name > Connect.
You will see the mobile phone screen appears on your PC now.
On the right sidebar, find the Control Phone button and click it.
Then, you can use a mouse to control your phone.
Click the mobile app to open it. Now you can play Pokémon GO with PC.
Phone Link is a Microsoft software that connects Windows PCs to Android and iOS mobile devices. This tool supports app mirroring and controls. By mirroring the game to your PC, you can use your mouse and keyboard for gameplay.
