Stream YouTube on Discord: 3 Simple Ways (with Official Option)

1. Watch Together

Discord's Watch Together feature is the best way to stream YouTube videos and watch them with friends. It allows users to engage in shared experiences in voice channels.

Step 1. In the Voice Channels, click Start an Activity.

Step 2. Click Watch Together in the pop-up window.

Step 3. Click Add App > Add to server > Select a server > Authroize > Launch.

Step 4. Add the video to the playlist.

Now invite your friends to the channel. You and your friends can watch the video at the same time.

2. Kingshiper Screen Mirroring

Using screen mirroring software with Discord is able to unlock streaming YouTube app.

You can first use Kingshiper to cast the mobile (Android & iOS) to your PC, and then share the screen in Discord. Here is the guide.

Step 1. Install Kingshiper on your phone and computer. Open them.

Step 2. Use the same network on both devices.

Step 3. Start screen mirroring.

• For Android: use QR code/Pin code; tap the PC name in the app.
• For iPhone: Control Center > tap Screen Mirroring > select the PC.

Step 4. Open Discord. Select a server and vioce channel.

Step 5. Click the screen icon. Then, choose the mobile screen in Windows

3. Google Chrome

Step 1. Play the YouTube video you want to stream on the Google Chrome browser.

Step 2. Disable Hardware Acceleration via Discrod > Settings > Voice & Video > Advanced > Hardware Acceleration.

Step 3. Add Google Chrome to Discord > Settings > Registered Games > Add it > select Google Chrome > Add Game.

Step 4. After adding, you can see Google Chrome is showing when you are in the voice channel.

Click the Stream icon to screen share Chrome. Next, go to Applications and select YouTube. Lastly, click Go Live.

Now you can stream YouTube content, like movies, directly on Discord.
