Accidentally deleting important files is a common problem for many users. Losing essential work documents, cherished photos, or critical study materials can be frustrating. Fortunately, Kingshiper Data Recovery is a powerful tool designed to recover deleted files from your computer quickly and effectively. In this guide, we'll walk you through how to use Kingshiper Data Recovery to restore lost files and locate the exact data you need.
Part 1. Kingshiper Data Recovery Algorithms Overview
Kingshiper Data Recovery includes two advanced algorithms for recovering deleted files:
1. File System-Based Recovery (Recommended)
How it works: This algorithm scans your file system and organizes recovered files by their file paths (e.g., 00, 01, 02).
Key features:
Maintains original file names, file creation/modified dates, and attributes.
Fast recovery process due to clear file information.
Limitations:
If the file is partially overwritten or corrupted, the recovered file may not be usable.
2. Raw Data-Based Recovery
How it works: Scans the storage sectors directly and rebuilds files based on data patterns.
Key features:
Can recover files even if the file system is damaged.
Higher recovery success rate for deeply deleted files.
Limitations:
File names and created/modified dates may be missing.
Takes longer to search due to deeper scanning.
Example: A deleted Word file named 2024_Project.docx might appear as 1010848.docx in the recovery list. You can preview the file to confirm its content before recovery.
Part 2. Step-by-Step Guide to Recover Deleted Files
Step 1. Launch Kingshiper Data Recovery on your computer. Select the “Deep Recovery” mode and click on the “Recover” button.
Step 2. Choose the partition or physical disk where the deleted files were stored. Then, click “Scan”.
Step 3. Once the scan completes, the recovered files will be sorted into categories based on their recovery status:
01 Software (C:): Normal Files (5043 files)
These are the files that are intact and haven’t been deleted. Most of your active files should be here. If you want to recover a file that is currently in use, it’s usually located in the "01 Normal files".
02 Software (C:): Deleted Files (478444 files)
Files that have been deleted, including those removed via "Shift + Delete" or emptied from the Recycle Bin.
Note: If you can’t find the files you need in the 01 or 02 sections, try looking in the 00 - Found Files category. This section is based on raw data scanning, which has a higher chance of recovering lost files, especially if the file system is damaged.
For example:
00 Found Files (288377 files): These files were recovered by scanning raw data from the disk. They may not have names or original file attributes, but the recovery success rate is high.
Step 4. Preview and select the files you want to recover. Tap on the “Recover” button to choose a safe location (preferably on a different disk or partition) to store the recovered files. Then, click “OK” to start the recovery process.
